Daddy/Daughter Dance 2010

Getting ready for the Big Night

Hattie's getting her warm-up laps in

Hattie's "real" dancing partner, Lorelei, arrives. Generally, we found that Daddies were not allowed on the dance floor by their daughters as shown by the picture below. Notice how the Dads are standing on the perimeter of the dance floor.  We were severely scolded by them should we dare step onto their sacred turf.

Cutting a rug

Lorelei's daddy, Adam, was allowed to briefly join the dance....check out the video

And now that's he's gone, back to more dancin'

Dagen joins in

YMCA

Time for a "nutritious" break. Yes, mommies, they only had pretzels and water.....well, maybe they had cupcakes and brownies, too. Hey, it was a special night.

This was our special last dance to the appropriately chosen song "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman.

What a wonderful night!

Hattie:  I just want to play with my dolls.

But while the cat is asleep, this mouse will play

December visits and more - part 1

We thought things were going to be pleasant when Tonton came for a visit, but then.....

Things got UGLY!!!!!

So momma had to step in and get things back under control, although George still didn't trust ol' Tonton.  He had to keep his eye on him since Tonton looked like he was not too happy to have things back in order.

Julia stopped by for a visit while nearby on business.  (No, we did not steal Charlie Brown's Christmas tree)

This was Hattie out in the first snow of this winter.  Not very impressive.  (The snow I mean, not Hattie)

Hattie's friend, Sophie, came for a visit with her mom and whilst the mommies talked the girls proceeded to eat all of the candy off the gingerbread house.

Are we related or what?

Our stop in St. Louis to visit friends on the way to Tulsa for Christmas.  George is not too sure about his seating arrangement.
